CAREER CENTER Health Careers/LNA Clinical Instructor The Windham Regional Career Center is seeking a part-time nursing instructor for its Health Careers program. Instructor will also be required to teach Medical Terminology and Human Growth and Development. Qualified candidates must be a reglstered nurse with an active license in Vermont. Candidate must hold a current, unencumbered Vermont license as a registered nurse, at least three years' experience as a registered nurse and at least two year's administrative and supervisory experience over nursing assistants. Required education and licensure: Bachelor's Degree, hold a Vermont unencumbered license as a practical or registered nurse and willingness to obtain a Vermont teacher's license. Department Chair for BUHS Social Studies Department

Brattleboro Union High School seeks a dynamic educator to serve as a Department Chair for our Social Studies Department. Brattleboro Union High School is a comprehensive high school with an enrollment of approximately 800 students located in southeastern Vermont. The Social Studies Department has a long history of student involvement in social and political issues. The Department Chair will provide leadership both within the eight person department and larger school community by working to develop and promote programs that are student centered, aligned to the Common Core and C3 framework for Social Studies Standards and offer multiple pathways for student success. In addition this person will offer direct support to all faculty, model best practices in their own classroom and be comfortable using diverse computer applications to collect, analyze, disseminate and discuss student assessment data. The Department Chair is responsible for developing and maintaining a department budget and a system of progress monitoring that provides ongoing feedback for staff to improve instruction. A working knowledge of C3 Social Studies Standards, as well as relevant common core State Standards and proficiency based graduation practices is preferred. The chair also works with the department to develop a continuous improvement plan based on our Core Values of respect, responsibility, relevance and community. The Department Chair will work closely with the assistant principal and reports directly to the principal. This position is 2/3 of a full time teaching assignment and the remainder of the day is devoted to working with staff and other department business. Candidates for this position should hold a Vermont teaching license or be eligible for VT licensure. Five years of teaching experience and a master’s degree preferred. Job description

Cleans assigned school facilities, classrooms, offices, restrooms, shops and common areas.
Maintains supplies and equipment.
Able to lift 50 lbs unassisted.
Arranges furnishings and equipment for the purpose of providing preparations for meeting, classroom activities and special events.
Responds to immediate safety and or operational concerns for the purpose of taking appropriate action to resolve all such concerns.
This position reports directly to the Custodial Night Supervisor.

BAMS Parent Liaison-Part-Time

- Experience in establishing rapport and building relationships with diverse groups of families in a school or community setting
- Experience participating in work teams or leadership committees in a school or community setting
- Knowledge of best practices in parent engagement
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Certification in middle-level grades preferred

All work will be completed outside of contract hours and expectations. WSESU may terminate this MOU/Contract at any time for any reason giving at least (30) days notice in writing to the contractor. If the contractor is terminated by WSESU as provided herein, the contractor will be paid a fair payment as negotiated with the WSESU for work completed as of the date of termination.

SOCIAL STUDIES: Long Term Substitute Position BAMS


We have a need to fill one partial-year social studies position. This position will begin near the end of May until the end of the school year in June 2018. It will resume in the fall until the end of September. The desirable candidate will have a strong foundation in social studies, a desire to teach the middle school population and the ability to differentiate to meet the needs of a broad range of learners. The successful applicant will be certified in social studies and licensed to teach in Vermont.
