Intensive Services Paraeducator 

2017-2018 School Year

Seeking a full-time paraeducator at Dummerston School to support elementary aged children. The candidate must have experience working with children with complex disabilities, the ability to work collaboratively with a team of providers, ability to use technology for instruction and communication, and capacity to implement academic and behavioral interventions for students. This position is supervised by the special education teacher with coaching and support from related service providers and will require support of students’ personal care needs. 

Successful candidates will have 2 years of experience working with elementary aged children, an Associate’s degree in a related field, and the ability to use the Google platform.

Bus Monitor
2017/2018

Seeking bus monitors to support the safety of students while being transported from home to school and school to home. Training required as a result of their disability and/or medical condition. Two shifts daily for an estimated 4 hours per day.
Must have experience working with children with disabilities, work positively with co-workers, ability to handle unexpected issues in a calm and professional manner and commitment to work.

Speech Language Pathologist 
2017-2018 School Year

WSESU is seeking speech language pathologist with expertise in working with students on the autism spectrum and with significant language impairments. Candidates must have experience with augmentative communication systems and technology to enhance language, teach, and support language within school-based multi-tiered systems of support .  We want a Speech and Language Pathologist with a passion for their career. This position requires the ability to participate within a team of SLPs and the ability to connect with children, families and school faculty in various situations.

Speech-Language Pathology Assistant-SLPA
2017-2018 School Year (1 year contract)

Seeking a full-time SLPA to support communication and language interventions to children with disabilities as prescribed by the supervising Speech Language Pathologist. Requires minumum of 2 years college education or associate’s degree in speech language or communication disorders degrees and/or relevant work experience. Candidates will possess excellent communication skills, the ability to work on a team, self-directedness, and skill with Google platform.

SUBSTITUTE NURSES

School Nurse substitutes needed for all schools in WSESU, K-6, K-8, and middle school/high school. Qualifications include current Vermont RN or LPN license, CPR certification, and at least 3 years experience in pediatrics or emergency care.
