Special Education Paraeducator

2017-2018 School Year

Dummerston School is seeking a special education paraeducator with experience working with primary and intermediate level students with academic challenges.  This position will provide in and out of classroom support and intervention to special education students.  The paraeducator will work with the special educator, classroom teacher and related service providers to balance inclusive instruction with specialized intervention and support.  Candidates must have the ability to use educational technology, proficiency with the Google platform, possess excellent communication skills and a positive and flexible attitude.  This position requires two years of post-secondary education.

Speech Language Pathologist 
2017-2018 School Year

WSESU is seeking speech language pathologist with expertise in working with students on the autism spectrum and with significant language impairments. Candidates must have experience with augmentative communication systems and technology to enhance language, teach, and support language within school-based multi-tiered systems of support .  We want a Speech and Language Pathologist with a passion for their career. This position requires the ability to participate within a team of SLPs and the ability to connect with children, families and school faculty in various situations.

Intensive Services Paraeducator
2017-2018 School Year

Seeking a full time paraeducator to support elementary aged children with multiple disabilities/ Autism/Other Health Impairments. The candidate must have experience working with children with disabilities, the ability to work collaboratively with a team of providers, ability to use technology for instruction and communication, and capacity to implement academic and behavioral interventions for students.   This position is supervised by the special education teacher with coaching and support from related service providers and may require support of students’ personal care needs.

Successful candidates will have 2 years of experience working with elementary aged children, an Associate’s degree in a related field, and the ability to use the Google platform.

Behavior Interventionist - WSESU Intensive Services
The WSESU Intensive Services program has an opening for a Behavior Interventionist.  The BI will develop positive behavior support plans within educational teams, complete functional behavior assessments, identify and reinforce pro-social replacement behaviors, provide behavioral coaching to staff and direct service to students.  The ideal candidate will be a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) or a Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst (BCaBA) with experience teaching verbal behavior to students with Autism Spectrum Disorders.  This position is full-time and follows the academic school year calendar.

School Nurse substitutes needed for all schools in WSESU, K-6, K-8, and middle school/high school. Qualifications include current Vermont RN or LPN license, CPR certification, and at least 3 years experience in pediatrics or emergency care.
