The candidate must have experience working with children with complex disabilities, the ability to work collaboratively with a team of providers, ability to use technology for instruction and communication, and capacity to implement academic and behavioral interventions for students. This position is supervised by the special education teacher with coaching and support from related service providers and will require support of students’ personal care needs. Successful candidates will have 2 years of experience working with elementary aged children, an Associate’s degree in a related field, and the ability to use the Google platform.

Opening Seeking a special education evaluator to support initial and 3-year cognitive and achievement testing for students to students in grades 7-12. Experience with a broad range of testing tools and assessment analysis. The position works closely with the BUHS #6 special education coordinator, teachers, related services, parents/guardians, educational evaluators, school psychologists and community partners. Candidate must have experience as a special education teachers (3years) and testing for IEP eligibility (2 years) including writing eligibility reports, working with IEP teams and skilled at facilitation of IEP meetings. This position requires a skilled problem solver to provide oversight of educational access to students’ with disabilities in general education. Candidate must have knowledge and practice with Vermont and federal special education regulations including IEP compliance of referral, eligibility and specialized instruction. Candidate will develop services to support access and student engagement within the middle and high school learning structures. Experience communicating with students, families, administrators and educators. Supervision of special education teachers and paraprofessionals that guide implementation of inclusive education using research based strategies (UDL, PBiS and social thinking). Responsible for oversight of state and WSESU data collection and analysis used for state and federal compliance. This position works with the Special Education Director and coordinators. Candidate must have special education teaching experience (5 years) and experience with administrative or coordination of special education services Master's Degree in Special Education and/or Educational Administration Vermont Licensed Special Education Teacher and Special Education Administrator required.

Windham Southeast Supervisory Union Special Education Out of District Case Manager 2018 / 2019 school year
WSESU is seeking a special education teacher to provide case management to Brattleboro Union High School and Brattleboro Area Middle School (7-12) students placed in private and therapeutic schools. The position requires knowledge and experience with specialized instruction and interventions for students with learning challenges. The out of district case manager oversees IEP services including annual and 3-year evaluations including collaboration with school to address student specialized services. The position requires excellent communication and organization skills and the ability to work in a variety of educational environments. Ongoing communication with schools and WSESU special education administration, maintain IEP compliance timelines, facilitate annual and 3-year eligibility. Position requires experience as a special education teacher, conducting special education cognitive and academic evaluation for eligibility and collaborative skills to work with the student’s school placement, WSESU and community partners.
